PinoyPetFinder is a great place where we all can share information about our beloved pets. Please follow these rules to keep the forum clean and organized.
- Do not be a troll on this board. There is a large difference between stating your opinion and bringing a constant negative attitude to the forums.
- Do not spread lies and rumors. If you do, please provide proof.
- Do not post photos or links of person(s), other than yourself without the consent of the person(s) in question.
- Do not "post hijack" by placing your ads in any threads other than ones you have created.
- Do not double post (post the same thing in multiple sections). Make sure you search the forum first to make sure you won't be making a duplicate thread. This will help keep the forum much more organized.
- Be nice. NO PERSONAL ATTACKS, name-calling or foul language! If someone posts something you don't like, please don't flame them just because you don't like it or you don't agree with them. Everyone is entitled to state their opinion as long as PinoyPetFinder rules are followed.
- The posting in behalf of any former/banned members from this site, to air their grievances or your personal opinion on any matter, will not be allowed on the forum. Appropriate action will be taken against the offenders.
- Using this forum as a "platform" to attack, insult or disrespect ANY mod or Administrator will lead to immediate banning of the user. The administrators and moderators reserve the right to judge which posts fall under this category.
- Up to two 468x60 or smaller banners with a file size of NO MORE than 100kb are allowed in your signature. Images in your signature must be no greater than 720x160 pixels. Do not use fonts larger than size 12pt, or all capital letters. Banners and avatars can not have excessive flashing effects, and must be in good taste. They cannot impersonate PinoyPetFinder admin or mods or another member.
- Do not send spam via PM or on the forum. You will be banned with no exception.
- Do not bump really old threads for no apparent reason.
- Do not offer to buy or sell PCCI papers!
- Do not create multiple PinoyPetFinder accounts. If you are found to own multiple accounts, they will all be banned.
- Do not make 1-3 word posts such as "hehehe" and "lol" are considered spam and unacceptible. They do not contribute to the community at all and are a waste of space.
- Do not post links or information about where to purchase or sell drugs, guns or ammunition.
- Observe all copyright laws when posting copyrighted material. If the material belongs to someone else, credit the original author. Do not post material where you do not have permission to distribute it electronically or otherwise.
- Trading, or information on trading, of any endangered species, or wild animals, is strictly not allowed. (See list here and here.)
Procedures:Searching:
If you are looking for a specific thread, you can click on the “Search” Link at the very top of the forum. The search function allows you to input a number of different variables to help aid you in finding a specific thread.
Organization:
PinoyPetFinder is organized to help you sort through different pet information quickly and efficiently.
Please understand that PinoyPetFinder is not advertising what the users are selling and has no way connected to the seller. When buying a pet, it is your responsibility to research and collect as much information as possible about the breed and seller and then make your own decision.
If and when a staff member finds a seller with multiple usernames, or someone who is hiring paid posters to try and mislead people, they will edit the first post of the thread and insert a red, bold, caution message with a description of what the issue is. What you decide to do with this information is purely up to you. This information can greatly aid your decision making, so it is important that you check the first post of every thread.
If you feel a thread is miscategorized, feel free to use the report button, and a staff member will take a look at the thread.
Reporting:PinoyPetFinder like any other large community will have some people, for whatever reason, that break the rules. Our goal is to make PinoyPetFinder as organized and friendly as possible but with thousands of posts every day, it is difficult for the staff to monitor every single post made. As such, the staff relies on the eyes and ears of the members to help make sure things run smoothly and efficiently.
If you ever notice someone violating the rules, we would greatly appreciate if you would take a few extra seconds and report the problem to the staff. This community is what you make out of it. While you aren’t required to help out, PinoyPetFinder will be a better place if you do.
You do not need to worry about being a “tattle tale.” A reporters’ confidentiality is always protected so PinoyPetFinder members have know way of knowing who reported them.
How to report:Making a report is simple an easy. All you need to do is:
1) Click on the “Report to moderator” button at the bottom right hand corner of the offending post.
2) Type up a short description on the problem
3) Click the “Submit Report” button.
That’s it! You are done, and the staff will handle it from here.
Warnings:If at any time you are given a warning for violating the rules, don’t make a big deal out of it. Warnings are used as a tool to help members become more aware of our forum rules.
Only you and the moderating team can see your warning level, so it is not a “scarlet mark.” If you don’t say anything about it, nobody will know. Your warning level will be reduced over time if you can show us that you understand the rules and do not break them for a 30-60 day period.
If this time period has passed, and you feel your warning level should be lowered, you may kindly send a PM to one of our staff members and they will evaluate if it should be reduced or not.
